Lip balm is one of the basic skin care that everyone needs. Himalaya is known for its affordable and natural products.Today I’m back with a review about a product which has never left my vanity from the day I bought it 6 months  ago. This review is about Himalaya herbals lip balm.

Lip balm is not only  to smooth the dry lips, it also prevents the lips from getting dried and chapped so this will be useful for dry and chapped lips as well as for those who want to give their lips supple and smooth texture. Though my lips is not dried or chapped so am just using this lip balm for preventing my lips from getting dried and to give some extra care to my lips🤗

Product Description 

Himalaya Lip Balm, designed with the time tested herbs relieves sore and chapped lips, especially during the winter season. Enriched with the oils of Castor, Coconut, Wheat Germ and Carrot and Sweet Indrajao, Lip Balm protects your lips against the drying effects of the cold, and wind.

Carrot Seed Oil: Carrot Seed Oil reported to be rich in Vitamin A in the form of beta-carotene which is known to protect from sunburn. Carrot is an excellent natural antioxidant, which scavenges free radicals.

Wheat Germ Oil: Wheat Germ Oil is a rich source of natural Vitamin E which nourishes the skin and prevents moisture loss. It exhibits excellent skin conditioning activity which tones and softens the lips.

Packaging: Himalaya lip balm with wheat germ oil & carrot seed oil comes in a tiny 10g tube with a sturdy green coloured screwable cap. The ingredient list and other details are printed on the back of the packaging. I had to use a magnifying glass to read the ingredients! I have healthy, powerful eyes, mind you! The product is travel-friendly. 

Texture: Himalaya lip balm with wheatgerm oil and carrot seed oil has a transparent, gel texture. It has a herbal fragrance which is not overpowering.


My Experience

This is my very first lip balm I purchased and it had never left my vanity from then. This is one of the least expensive lip balms I have ever used and it never disappointed me in any aspect.The lip balm is thick transparent gel like consistency. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the lips. It has a very sweet fragrance which I like the most about it.


To moisturise my lips, I need to squeeze the tube and apply a tiny amount of Himalaya lip balm on my lips clockwise. It’s easy to apply and easy to carry around, so comes handy while travelling. Moreover, the tube packaging makes it hygienic as you don’t have to use your fingers during the application. Okay, it’s fine if you use your fingers as long as your hands are not dirty!


I use this lip balm in the day and before my bed and it makes my lips so soft and supple the next day. It works well when used under makeup as well.This lip balm has very little sunscreen which is provided by Wheatgerm oil which is said to have some natural sunscreen properties in it.It moisturizes the lips for a good 2 to 3 hours and reapplication is required after that.

Overall,

Himalaya lip balm with wheatgerm oil and carrot seed oil is an amazing nourishing lip balm for dry, chapped lips. If you are looking for a deeply nourishing, cruelty-free lip balm for your lips, then give this Himalaya lip balm a shot.
